River Road

River Road neighborhoods are located in Northern Eugene. This area is generally a residential sector of Eugene, with commercial areas concentrated around River Road itself. River Road gets its name from its close proximity to the Willamette River, which bounds it to the east. There are eleven city parks within the River Road district, and a bike path runs along the river. This bike path offers easy access to the river, the parks and to the rest of Eugene. Public transportation is easily utilized at the River Road Bus Station, which offers connections to the main Lane Transit station, and shuttles to other parts of Eugene. River Road neighborhoods are part of the 4j school district and are served by Howard, Corridor, Yujin Gakuen and Fairfield Elementary Schools, Kelly Middle School and North Eugene High School. The River Road Are is bordered by Beltline Road to the North, which offers convenient access to other parts of Eugene.

Emerald Park and Aquatics Center is a major attraction to the River Road Area. It is located several blocks west of River Road on Lake Street. This facility offers a community center, fitness center and aquatics center to compliment the 33 acre park.
