Amazon

The Amazon neighborhood is one of the oldest parts of Eugene. Many of the houses in this neighborhood are Eugene's oldest, and historical sights such as the Masonic Cemetery and old trolley lines are found here. It is primarily a residential area and is located in southeast Eugene. Amazon Park is one of Eugene's largest park, and Amazon Public Pool is a popular attraction during the summer. Amazon is one of the closest neighborhoods to outdoor recreational areas outside of Eugene such as Spencer's Butte and the Ridgeline trail. The Amazon neighborhood is also within a close proximity to both the University of Oregon and Lane Community College, making it another popular area for student housing. The population of the Amazon neighborhood is 1,920 or 1.2% of the population of the Eugene area. There are several restaurants and stores in the northern part of the Amazon neighborhood.

Amazon is serviced by the 4j school district and feed Roosevelt and Spencer Butte Middle School and South Eugene High School. Public transportation is centered around the Amazon bus station, and a bike path runs through the area making access to other parts of town easy on a bike or on foot.
