Friendly

Friendly area is a group of neighborhoods on and around Friendly Street in southern Eugene. The west side of this district is slightly hilly, and is named college hill after Colombia College which was opened over a hundred years ago but closed shortly after. The Friendly Street Neighborhoods are primarily residential and are very close to the Lane County Fair Grounds. Furthermore, friendly Street Neighborhoods are only minutes away from both downtown Eugene and the University of Oregon, making it a very practical place to live for many people. Friendly Neighborhoods are part of the 4j school district and is serviced by Jefferson and Roosevelt Middle Schools and Churchill and South Eugene High Schools. A bike path runs along the northern edge of the Friendly Street neighbourhoods and offers easy access to the fairgrounds, the university and downtown Eugene.
