Bethel-Danebo is a large neighborhood in northwestern Eugene. It is bordered by the industrial corridor to the east and west Eugene to the south. The population is 22,689 which represents 14.1% of the population of the Eugene area. At the western edge of Eugene, Bethel Danebo is only a fifteen minute drive from Fern Ridge reservoir, which has several recreation areas that offer camping, boating, fishing, swimming and more. There are 17 city parks in the area, including several ball fields and an aquatic center. It is primarily a residential area with over 50% of the land zoned as residential. Commercial and industrial zones share the remainder of the area, with commercial establishments centered around Barger Drive, and industrial zones one the east side near the industrial corridor. Housing in this area tends to be affordable, making it a great place for young families to find starter homes. Beltline Highway run directly through Bethel-Danebo, making travel to other parts of Eugene very convenient.
